Priorities
The HIV/AIDS epidemic continues to evolve and change: the world’s response needs to do the same. We are entering a new phase, where countries are acting upon different local epidemics requiring approaches defined by the needs of individual affected groups. At the same time, global AIDS funding is flat lining, requiring countries to maximize the impact of existing resources.
Pangaea believes that we can most effectively help countries reverse the spread of AIDS and avert “new wave” epidemics by designing programs that reach and involve vulnerable and marginalized groups most at risk of HIV infection most notably, girls and women,, men who have sex with men (MSM), and injection drug users (IDUs).
